BACK TO BASICS: 9 SHOES EVERY WOMAN SHOULD OWN

Aside from diamonds, we’re pretty sure shoes are a woman’s best friend. With seemingly endless options each season, it’s hard not to amass a collection of pumps in a rainbow of colors, or more than 10 pairs of black boots. So, if you’re looking to make a major investment this season, or spring cleaning is on your horizon, here’s an easy guide to help you streamline. Click through for the classic shoes every fashionable woman should have in her closet.

BLACK PUMPS
A basic black pump in suede or leather is the ultimate go-to, they pull together any outfit and add instant sophistication.

ANKLE-STRAP SANDALS
A barely-there ankle-strap sandal goes with just about anything and lengthens your legs.

BALLET FLATS
The quintessial run-around shoe, and a preppy-wardrobe staple.

ANIMAL-PRINT HEELS
Snakeskin or leopard heels add sultry style to your look.

METALLIC HEELS
Metallic heels are a no-brainer for an evening look—but they also work for daytime.

SHORT-STACKED HEELS
This ’90s style is making a serious comeback—the stacked heel gives you a little height without sacricing any comfort.

PLATFORM WEDGES
Wedges lend a lot of height and a lot of style.

CASUAL SNEAKERS
A fashionable sneaker is the perfect weekend shoe, pair it with jeans and dresses alike.

FLAT SANDALS
The ubiquitous summer shoe to pair with everything from cut-off shorts to a floral sundress.

There you have it. What did you score on the ‘Back To Basics’ shoe must-have list, HIGH or LOW?

I scored 9 out of 9! FYI I have over 100 pairs of shoes, so there is no way I wouldn’t have all 9 shoes in my collection.
